Micho Names 26-Man Squad For Cranes Friendly Against Ethiopia

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named a 26-man squad that will play against Ethiopia on Sunday 9th at the Namboole stadium in a friendly match. The international friendly is aimed at preparing the team ahead of their clash with Ghana on the 15th November in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers four days after which they will play Guinea in Morocco.

The friendly is also aimed at raising awareness to the general public about the killer HIV/AIDs virus in the “Protect the goal” campaign. The game was organized by the government of Uganda under the Ministry of Health together with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Micho named his 26man squad yesterday during the weekly press conference at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala.

The full squad that was summoned:

Goalkeepers: Robert Odongkara (St George), Jamal Salim (El Merriekh), Ismail Watenga (Vipers) and Brian Bwete (URA)

Defenders: Godfrey Walusimbi (Gor Mahia),Julius Ntambi (Kira Young) Martin Kizza(Tusker), Isaac Isinde (St George), Savio Kabugo(SCVU), Habibu Kavuma (KCC), Richard Kasagga (KCC)

Midfielders: Tonny Mawejje (Haugesund, Norway), Hassan Wasswa (SC Villa), Brian Majwega (KCC), Kizito Keziron (Vipers), Farouk Miya, Moses Oloya ( Xuan Than Sai Gon FC),Mike Sserumaga (Lweza), Baker Lukooya (Kira Young), Allan Kyambadde (Vipers), Geofrey Kizito (Gor Mahia), Khalid Aucho (Tusker)

Strikers: Geofrey Massa (Pretoria University), Yunus Sentamu (AS Vita), Robert Ssentongo (URA), Daniel Sserunkuma (Gor Mahia)
