With a month left for Uganda Cranes’ engagement with Sudan, head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has cautioned the summoned players to work hard since there is no one guaranteed a playing spot on the national team.
“You need to keep working harder because there are many players looking forward to wearing the national jersey,” coach Micho remarked.
The CHAN squad that is composed of only home based players kicked off their preparations over the weekend at Nakivubo War II Memorial stadium ahead of the final round of the African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifier against Sudan that is due October 17th and 24th for the first and second leg respectively.
The victor over both legs will qualify for the CHAN finals that will be hosted in Rwanda next year.
The team regroup on Saturday 19th for a trip to Masindi where they will play a combined Bunyoro Region team in the Cranes Namutima Campaign that continues to traverse the country.
