Local musician Michael Ross has revealed why he refused to perform in Rwanda. The R’n’B singer recently turned down an opportunity to be one of the headlining acts at the Summer Beach Fest slated for early next month in Rubavu town.
Michael Ross, who is popular in Rwanda for his hit songs like You’re the One, Clothes off, Gimmie tonight, and Ndakwikundira among others, says he passed up the opportunity after his management and promoters of the festival failed to reach a mutual understanding.
“There are some unfavorable terms that me and my management team didn’t agree on with the promoter of the show. And they weren’t ready to adjust, so we felt it was best we didn’t perform,” the singer said.
While Michael Ross turned down the offer, it was embraced by Ugandan singer Sheebah Karungi who will the headliner of the show happening on 2nd July.
