Wassabaly is Guineo-American who was inspired by music at young age, growing up in Guinea ( Fria , Tabossy ), in big family of farmers, which made it difficult to even be involved with music. Wassabaly grew up between school and mother’s rice and peanut camp.. where He got must of his inspirations from.. Being alone in the forest sitting on the stone and singing just like any typical African kid in the village.
Wassabaly continued his education until he reached high school, and the student Visa that landed him in the USA, as a student and working to take care of family back home, music was never the first option, but that didn’t stop him from writing lyrics from time to time until 2013 when he finally decided to give it try by getting in studio with a Guinean producer name Aliou Barry aka Dr Slop , Guinean producer and CEO of Slop Entertainment , who engineered the first single “I FIND YOU” but once again very busy with family, had to wait another year, in 2014 to record the second single “COLD BLOODED” engineered by J-Fro From Sierra Leone
Most of Wassabaly music are about defending African culture of comparison between African culture and the rest of the world that why the third single came about in 2015 called “AFRO-DEEP” engineered by J-Fro
In 2017 he following track SOLDIA was engineered by Jerry P a Sierra leone producer residing in Columbus Ohio USA.
Wassabaly worked has also worked with SisQo BalDe , from ExtremeProd and Check Traore Promotor and CEO of Culture Guinee.. from NEW YORK CITY. Mory Kouyate who recently awarded wassabaly with an OUTSTANDING ARTIST AWARD in NYC
After putting out all these singles, wassabaly decided to switch the style, and to put out record that makes people dance.and this is how the track “MY WAY” came about and specifically wanted “EDDIE WIZZY” the UGANDA finest and one of the best Choreographer and award winner in AFRICA to dance in his video.
