To some, music is a calling. A vocation to impact and change lives. Such is the inspiration for Western Uganda’s rising Gospel musician Eng. Dancan.
Real name Turinawe Dancan, he is an engineer chasing the music dream. He completed a Diploma in Water Engineering at Kahaya Technical Institute in 2012. He would later venture into music in 2015.
For the past six years, the 30-year-old engineer has been juggling his profession and his passion. And thus when he is not busy fixing leaking pipes or broken taps, he is in studio recording music.
He says his engineering works is only to facilitate his music dream.
“Whatever money I get from plumbing and other engineering works, I invest it in the music. I have invested heavily in the music, and I know it will eventually pay off,” a hopeful Dancan said.
Dancan so far has one music album to his name. He boasts of several songs which include; “Tambura na Yesu”, “Amatsiko”, “Tinkibyenda”, “Tibendeza”, “Yesu Nimukuru”, and “Rukundo Neteganza” among others.
