Abbas K aka Sean Kigs is a young, versatile, ambitious and talented person who is looking forward to learn and change the flow of the music industry. Sean Kigs recently released his debut single titled “Akange”. Just like most of our local artistes, he sings about his love life in the song. “It all started when my girlfriend indirectly hinted that she doesn’t want me to cheat on her,” he explains. “So as an artiste, I sat down and composed a song out of this.” Sean Kigs who currently studies at Makerere University is quick to confess his love for singing and music in general when approached. “I love singing, dancing, making friends, writing songs and novels, acting, partying and am a good listener too,” he says.

He continues to say, “I started singing as young as 5 years, but professionally I started this year (2013). I’ve always written and compiled songs and waited for my right time to come.” Sean has over the years learnt that as you’re seated out there thinking of something new, there are other a million people thinking about the same thing but the difference comes in as to who will be the first person to put it into action. Sean Kigs says he has been encouraged to pursue his passion by his family, his manager — Kino, ManDoo Bizness, Producer Exo and his friend Hidden Boy with whom he sang “Akange”

He also says he would also love to work with Tip Swizy, Maro, Gravity, Mun G and Geosteady. Kigs believes that there is hope for upcoming artistes in the Ugandan music industry as long as one is creative, devoted and has passion for what they do. “If you want to copy and be like some other person and you don’t bring out your inner self, then you don’t have any future because you will always be left behind,” he advised. He is working on two more songs which will be released in 2014. Meanwhile, watch This “ Akange” video here:
