After quitting his job as receptionist, Lyto Kado, real name Turyamureba George, decided to become a full-time photographer.
“I was freelancing as a photographer while I was still at my previous job, but my boss was annoying all the time, time reached when I could’t take it anymore,” Lyto Kaddo told us. “I decided I can’t do this anymore; I cannot continue to put my passion on hold, so I quit.”
He has been working full-time shooting photos of Ugandan celebrities including top musicians and models. He has worked on several projects with different brands including shooting music projects with his recent project being a shoot for Rydim Empire’s Mary Bata.

For the past two years, the 19-year-old photographer has been covering music and culture events around the city but he got his breakthrough after working on a project with singers Eddy Kenzo and Ziza Bafana recently. The gig exposed his talent to the world and he has since landed many other gigs.
“I feel like my photography is getting noticed more and I am getting more gigs. I can now finally make a living off it without my former job.” He added.
According to Kado, his biggest challenge is being despised by peers for being a kid in the industry. However, he has not let that demoralise him and has instead used it as steam to work hard at creating exceptional work that speaks for itself.
