Renowned Ugandan media personality, Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, has bravely shared his journey of contracting HIV/AIDS.
In the inaugural episode of his narrative, streamed on his ‘MC Kats Foundation’ YouTube channel, MC Kats disclosed that he acquired the virus during his schooling years at Mwiri College – Butiki.
The self-proclaimed ‘King Of The Mic’ recounted how he and his schoolmates would frequently skip classes to socialize with female students in various nightclubs.
This recklessness ultimately led to his contraction of the HIV virus.
Despite the challenges posed by his diagnosis, the NBS TV presenter has emerged as a beacon of hope for those living with HIV/AIDS.
Celebrating over 13 years since his diagnosis, MC Kats continues to pursue his career with determination and resilience.
Over the past three years, MC Kats has become a prominent advocate for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
He has forged partnerships with both governmental and non-governmental organizations to champion awareness and support for the cause.
