Mc Kats’ King of the Mic will be an annual celebration

When MC Kats promised that he would host his own party this year, many thought he was joking. Fast forward, the MC who has been at it since he was 15 years will host his own night, King of the Mic, come Dec 28th at Wave.

Speaking about his event, Kats said that for the very first time, he will be holding his own show and it will be taking place every year. He also said that fans can expect nothing but the best, DJs, Musicians and comedians will be there to celebrate Kats.

The event is happening on Friday December 28th at Wave Lounge,’ Kats added.

Spark TV’s Miles Rwamiti to take TV classes again

He may have been on television a couple of years, but Mile Rwamiti is being forced to take TV classes again. The Spark TV presenter who is accused of blundering during his Koona ne Mile show and failing to control his guests on LIVE TV last Friday will have to re-learn what he knows to be allowed back on air.

On the show, entertainer/ Rubaga North legislator Kato Lubwama slapped promoter Bajjo of Bajjo events for saying that he doesnt know how to use English and is a disgrace to his constituents.

During the program “KOONA” that was aired on Friday 21st December 2018, and hosted by Mr Miles Rwamiti, Spark Television relayed live broadcasts of content that was contrary to the minimum broadcasting standards read a document released by Uganda Communications Commission -UCC today.

‘On Dec 21st 2018, aired a program ‘Koona’, where we noticed total breach of the Minimum Broadcasting Standards,breach of it’s licence terms and conditions and the law.The Program,’Koona’, producer and presenter of this show have henceforth been suspended Immediately,’ read a tweet from UCC.

NTV’s Sheila Nduhukire tried to challenge UCC’s decision saying; ‘I think you’re being a bully here, UCC! A guest clearly failed to exercise restraint and was outright intolerant to what was being said, but you find it easier to ban a program and it’s presenter. How convenient!’ NTV is a sister station to Spark TV.

Sheila was then told that not until Miles learns how to handle guests, his show will not be on air again.

Sweden Based Ugandan Promoter Mike Yangstar Works Million Stylez on Massive Song, “Any Man She Want”

Sweden based Ugandan events promoter and producer Mike Yangstar recently worked with popular Swedish dancehall artist Million Stylez on a massive song titled “Any Man She Want”.

Mike Yangstar has established himself as a top events promoter, organizing big events in Sweden and other parts of Europe.

He has booked popular artistes like rapper Young MA, Ace Hood, Beenieman, Jahvinci, Popcaan , I Octane, Davido, Gyptian, Sparta and many others.

He recently started his music label called Mike Yangstar Music and worked with Million Stylez on the single, “Any Man She Want”, whose audio and video he produced.

Million Stylez is popular for his hit song, “Miss Fatty”.

Speaking to this website, Mike Yangstar said, “Music production has always been part of me. It was great working with Million Stylez. More amazing projects are yet to come”.

Abryanz recognized at Walk of Fame Awards

The year 2018 has been a great one for Fashion icon Brian Ahumuza alias Abryanz.

The ASFA awards CEO has not only made a mark in the industry this year but also hosted successful fashion awards and received recognition from several entities. One of such is the Walk of Fame Awards held at The Sharing Hall in Nsambya this week, where he won an award for inspiring the young people.

Abryanz was in the same category with top musician Eddy Kenzo, NBS After 5’s Douglas Lwanga, Hamis K and Balaam and came out top in a category dedicated to public figures influencing teens’ careers. The Teens do the nomination and voting.

Speaking about the recognition, Abyranz said that he was happy to receive the award and will keep doing more in using fashion to inspire the future.
