Renowned Ugandan media personality and MC, Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, has opened up about his spiritual journey and his decision to heed what he believes is a divine call on his life.
MC Kats shared how he approached Apostle Grace Lubega, the head Pastor of Phaneero Ministries, seeking guidance on his spiritual calling, which has been a source of inner conflict for him.
The spiritual leader advised him to stay committed to the church and to persist in prayer, assuring him that things would naturally take a positive turn.
Feeling a growing disconnect from worldly pursuits, the NBS TV presenter expressed a desire to return to God and emphasized his determination to rekindle his spiritual connection. Having found his baby mama, Fille Mutoni, in the church, he sees an opportunity for a meaningful return to God by collaborating on a gospel musical album with her.
MC Kats reflected on the significance of Jesus being seen in a church in the entire Bible, citing the instance when He took action against those who disrupted the sacred space. He stated, “God, use me outside the church where I have been for over 20 years. I will spread His word from where I am good at.“
In a significant announcement made in 2023, MC Kats officially declared his decision to step back from the stage, redirecting his focus toward other aspects of life. This move aligns with his newfound commitment to spiritual growth and spreading the message of God through his chosen path.
