Little known, MC Africa has had a turn of good fortune. From chilling at bedraggled hangouts, he is now performing on the big screen. This after he appeared as a co-host on the NBS Katch Up show on Friday.
MC Africa came into the spotlight when a video clip in which he is seen vibing to Pia Pound’s “Twende Tupaate” song went viral on social media.
As the video clip made rounds on social, so did the song go up on the charts. This prompted Pia Pound to arrange a meeting with the man who is credited for making the song a success.
After her meeting with MC Africa, Pia Pounds revealed that the MC’s wish was to own a smartphone. She started a fundraiser campaign in that regard on her social media platforms.
But now Sage Buyers, dealers in Apple products, have come out to bear the burden of the expense and make MC Africa’s wish come true. Sage Buyers have gifted MC Africa with a brand new iPhone X.

MC Africa could not hide excitement as he received his brand new phone and thanked Sage Buyers for the gift.
