Fiesta-logoMbarara, 17th August 2013 – The Bell Fiesta on Saturday gave Mbarara residents what can only be described as pure entertainment bliss as hundreds of revelers withstood a chilly night to experience the Bell Fiesta that has now redefined Uganda’s entertainment scene, beats, balls and beers.

Kicking off the Bell Fiesta was a diverse line up of performances from Mbarara based musicians like Moray Skillz, Left Star and Reliq who blended a fusion of styles to the delight of fans. When Mbarara University student and artist Moray Skillz stepped on stage, the applause from his fans was deafening and he didn’t disappoint much to the excitement of fellow students in the crowd.

The Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara was totally transformed when the main attraction, Human Table Foosball got underway with teams like Kidongo, Galaxy FC, Golden Leaf, Kasheshe FC, Girls United and Masaka FC battling it out for the grand prize of UGX 400,000.

In the end, the final game pitted Kasheshe FC against Galaxy FC and Kasheshe FC took home the prize money edging out Galaxy FC 2-1 in a final that was as highly charged as it was entertaining. When asked about their experience during the awards ceremony, the team captain of the winning team could only say, “I am really excited” to the applause of fans.

“The Bell Fiesta is a stunning, high-flying, super-charged blast of fun and we have shown Mbarara the Bell Lager way of partying” said Bell Lager brand Manager Robert Nsibirwa.

The MC’s for the night, Crooze FM presenter Jimmy Pound, Dave Dash and MC Ken kept the crowd yearning for more and at one point had a rap battle on a Tupac Shakur soundtrack that local celebrity Jimmy Pound won all the more proving that Mbarara love and appreciate local talent.

To cap the thrilling night, nationally acclaimed musicians Rema and Vampino showed why they are among the biggest in the industry with their famous tunes that the crowd excitedly sang along. From Rema’s ‘Fire Tonight’, ‘Ceaze and Sekkle’, ‘Atuuse’ to Vampino’s ‘Rev it up’ and ‘Siika Chapati’, Mbarara residents got the best of Bell Fiesta in a memorable and electrifying night.

The party went on well into the night as the DJ kept revelers on their feet with fine video mixes that capped an electrifying display of what Bell Fiesta is all about – Balls, Beats and Beers! Bell Fiesta in Mbarara fell at the start of the 1st year university students’ (Freshers) campus life making it the best way for them to start their university experience.

Bell Fiesta continues with its nationwide tour, and it is expected that music and soccer lovers will come out in droves to get a first-hand experience of this exciting and challenging game that has so far rocked the country, Human Table Foosball, a first in Uganda.

In the Bell Nation anything is possible, good times last longer, friendships grow stronger, plans are made and the future shines bright.
