Mbale’s top singer Idi Masaba thrilled revelers at the launch of Mulembe Night-UG that was held at Club Silk on Friday evening.
The celebrated Gisu cultural singer got people on the dance floor as he belted out several traditional songs, to the delight of both the young and old in the crowd that had turned up for the event. Kadodi dance took center stage as the partiers reveled in the traditional music.
There were also performances from Kadodi Troupe and Inspector J as the party went on till late in the night.
Organised by a group of influential Bamasaba, Mulembe Night-UG is a platform that seeks to preserve cultural heritage and create an avenue for building a strong identity.
It will also be used as a forum for reaching out to the community with an aim to contribute to environmental protection, emphasizing the education of the girl child and access to International boarders.
The event was honoured with the presence of Irene Muloni, the Minister for Energy and Minerals as guest of honour.
