He has been telling his ardent fans to wait for Friday because that’s when he will reveal the name of his new album. The fans took it in stride and waited; hanging on the wire and counting days on their fingers. Others might have fasted. They couldn’t wait for Friday. But as the clock chimed Friday, the soulful singer named his new album ‘Mwooyo’.
He has always flagged his music, Mwooyo music, which literally means Soul. He, thus, thought it wise to name his album ‘Mwooyo’ to, perhaps, mean his signature genre of music that has, over time, corrupted and gripped and sought asylum and bought land titles in women’s hearts.
The clock is now ticking for the album to be dropped.
