After traversing the world, doing shows in Netherlands, Germany and Paris, and even becoming a dad in the process, Maurice Kirya is back with Kirya Live 2018. The renowned RnB balladeer is back with his famed yearly “Kirya Live” concert that will take place on 2nd November, 2018 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Kirya Live offers a unique musical experience that’s incomparable. Maybe this is why this Takashi Murakami of soul music spaces his concerts; he’s a firm believer that good work needs time. And against that revelation, Kirya Live is bound to leave a mark.
The syrupy vocalist will take his fans on a detour back on his musical journey. From the lamentations of an insomniac Woowe to Misubbawa that literally kept his musical candle burning. From the angelic Malaika to Boda Boda who took fans on an enchanting ride. Of course, without forgetting his new music off his Free Dreams album and the new popular hymn Nze Ani.
The past Kirya Live editions have been nothing, but a musical buffet. His fans always get their money’s worth, because Maurice outdoes himself. And this edition won’t be any different. In fact, it will be an uplift from the past editions.
“This won’t be just a show, this will be an experience. A unique experience. It’s history in the making,” Maurice promised.
Maurice has always given young and upcoming talents a platform to showcase their talents. A trait he’s carried from The Maurice Kirya Experience days. The past Kirya Live edition saw artistes like Kenneth Mugabi share a stage with him. And the Kirya Live 2018 edition will see another new entrant. This time, it will be JC Muyonjo, The Body of Brian and Shifah Musisi.
Early bird tickets go for only UGX70,000 and UGX100,000 at the entrance. The table for 10 people goes for only UGX3M. This time, there will be a VIP section, but the rest will still have a chance to groove to their favourite Kirya songs and come closer to the stage to get up close and personal with him.
