Musicians Cindy Sanyu and Maurice Kirya will perform at a mega concert that will be held at Lugogo cricket oval later this year.

This comes after the two singers were selected among the top musicians from Africa’s Great lakes region to perform at the annual Peace One Day youth celebrations which will be held on September 21st this year.

Cindy and Kirya who were unveiled early this week at a ceremony held in Bugolobi will play a pivotal role in rallying the youth to embrace peace.

Cindy and Maurice will be joined by other artistes from Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo who include, Knowless(Rwanda), Fally Ipupa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Kidum Kibido (Burundi) among others.

Meanwhile, Maurice Kirya was also part of the campaign last year and featured on the Peace Day anthem titled “One”, which brought artists from across the African continent together for peace and unity. He also performed at the Peace Day celebrations that were held in Rwanda last year.
