Musician Maurice Hasa of the “Kaleke Kasome” fame was left wallowing in elation after he received a Cultural Icon Award in the Peer Educators Awards. The singer who was recognised for his continued charity work over the years says he is glad he is making a positive contribution to his community.
He posted: “I have just gotten the CULTURAL ICON AWARD recognising me for my charity works and songs over the years. It was such an honour you don’t know how I feel inside me. DR MAGIE KIGOZI thank you so much for recognizing me and using me as an example throughout your speech to inspire the young people..Who am I to deserve your recognition madam…”
