This Friday, 11th October as we usher in the weekend, all roads will lead to club Obligato to witness the celebrated Ugandan kadongo kamu star Mathias Walukagga as he launches his album “Parliament yaffe”.
The talented singer who has remained faithful to his career especially in the “kadongo kamu” genre amidst criticisms and unpleasant attacks is finally launching his album dubbed “Parliament yaffe”.
The leading songs on the album are Parliament Yaffe and Ssentebe Wekizinga and he has vowed to perform all these and many more for the attendants.
Most of the ‘bakkowu’ singer’s music is whispered to be attacking the reigning regime(NRM) in Uganda which has, on one hand popularized his music and on the other hand made him suffer such as sleeping behind bars.
But basically for music lovers especially the Luganda version, Mathias Walukkaga talks about what affects people in their nation and how leaders in the parliament should check on their leadership skills for a better future as one can tell from his song titles.
According to the look of things, he doesn’t sing in an opposition way rather an advising one through his talent to uplift the country he loves.
The launch will have extensive shows on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13thOctober, Walukaga will be at Satelite Beach Mukono and Jazz Bridge Entebbe respectively.
For all kadongo kamu lovers, friends and fans, let’s meet there.
