University of Pretoria striker Geoffrey Massa is planning to return to the Northern Cyprus League before hanging his boots in the near future.
“I loved my time in Cyprus and the people there love me a lot. I must go back and play in their League before retiring,” Massa told MTNFootball.com during an interview in Pretoria.
Interestingly the Ugandan striker said he has always been comfortable playing in Northern Cyprus in a League that is not recognized by FIFA.
“It is one wonderful place and the Club President of Yenicami FC and the fans are great,” said Massa.
The striker who made a return to the South African PSL two months ago after featuring for Jomo Cosmos over five years ago said he is comfortable at University of Pretoria now and would want to win trophies with them before returning to Cyprus.
“The Coach at University of Pretoria believes in me a lot and that keeps me going as we battle to finish in a good position in the League.
“I have been unlucky that I started for the team after the League had kicked off and again sat out because of injury,” added Massa who hopes to finish the League strongly.
Massa who won the League title with Police FC in Uganda has so far scored four goals for the Pretoria based club, but hopes to reach his target of ten goals when the League comes to a climax.
