When she was rotting away in Bunamwaya Rehabilitation centre, musician Jackie Chandiru attracted a lot of sympathy from fans and the public at large. Everyone felt bad that she was going through a tough time because of the drugs that she had abused but not Mary Luswata, the dreaded former Urban TV presenter, that always made it a point to bad mouth celebrities on air.
Turns out Luswata was not happy when she heard that Jackie had left rehab and gone to recuperate from a relative’s home in Ntinda. We are told that Mary who used to say very ugly things about Jackie on her Scoop on Scoop television show did no different when she heard of Jackie’s positive reaction to medication.
On asking our sources why she hates the ‘Agaasi’ singer so much, we were told that Mary and Jackie’s beef goes way back to the days of Blu *3. We have been told that during the time when Cindy left the group, Mary had hopes of joining and Jackie always blocked her whenever she tried. This sealed Mary’s singing career as she couldn’t make it outside an already established all girl singing group.
From that time, we are told that she vowed to fight Jackie until her last day on earth, she was very successful on TV when she would attack her over any and everything. When she heard that she was in hospital because of drugs, Mary’s friends say that she was the happiest and wished her doom.
However, it seems Mary will have to wait a long time as Jackie is not about to face the worst as had been expected.
