Motor mouthed Urban TV gossip presenter Mary Luswata has revealed that she would like to elevate her Scoop on Scoop gossip show into a 30 minute talk show. While unveiling her plan to take over as the new Ugandan Oprah Winfrey, Luswata said that she wants to move away from the five minute gossip show to a bigger talk show.
She said that this will depend on the TV management a lot since they will have to allocate her more time. “This five minute segment is about to be a thing of the past. I hope to make this a talk show where I will do proper hosting for about thirty minutes or an hour depending on how much time the station will give me,” the controversial presenter who has built her name on insulting celebs said.
Luswata then said that she would change a few things so as to make more people love this show. She revealed that her mother hates the show.
“My mother hates this show, she keeps calling and begging me to quit. But she also knows that I’m old enough to make good decisions and this is the career I have chosen. I cannot pull out now,” Luswata said. “My mum has a lot of power over me; for example she kept calling and insisted that I make things right with Judith Heard. We were not talking for a while so I decided to call Judith and apologize; and then she goes off about me bowing to the queen, she should know she has my mother to thank for that apology.”
We are watching this space and will keep you posted as soon as Mary starts her talk show.
