Mary who started by presenting the Urban@Dawn show on the Industrial area based station along with Daniel is known for cracking the whip on celebrities sparing no one when she is doing her brand new celebrity Scoop on Scoop show.  The motor mouthed presenter who recently survived an accident is not in the good books of many Ugandan celebrities including Judith Heard, Ivan, Zari among others, but she sure does entertain her viewers. Her show airs every weekday at 2pm, 5pm and 10pm.

Luswata who also goes by the handle @taswalu on twitter is up against Jackie Katusiime of WBS Television, Fifi of Bukedde Television also a Vision Group owned Luganda TV station, and Lady Bezo of Robert Kayanja’s Lubaga based Christian station called Channel 48 in the female category of rising TV star.

Daniel, a young determined TV presenter on Urban TV does the Pakasa business show and #Tag, a technology and digital business show. He is up against UBC’s Calvin da Entertainer who hosts Horizon Vibe on the Nakasero based station, Jaxta of Record TV’s popular program Katogo and Daniel Esco from WBS, Mc Kats of NTV Uganda’s Xposed show and Luzze Andrew from WBS.

The awards are looking to reward those journalists that have had a positive impact on Ugandans according to Yusuf, the main organizer. The award gala will take place on 27th June 2014 at Sheraton hotel.
