It’s was announced yesterday by Minister Maria Mutagambwa that the national anthem will be given a new feel to make it more appealing to somebody listening and as result, some local musicians are already to share in the lucrative deal.
One of the musicians that has been rubbing his shoulders with the American investor Gado, Maro must be the most happiest as we write since the “Nkobela” hit maker has been lined up to be part of this project. Maro will be taking part in the anthem redo among other artistes from both Uganda and in the diaspora.
The initiative that is estimated to cost approximately Ushs185 million is set to kick off as soon as possible to enable the song circulate before the commemoration of the Uganda independence come October 9th.
Maro is expected to pocket millions of cash by the end of the project and has also been tasked to identify other vocally gifted Ugandan musicians that can be part of the song. However after the song has been redone, it will not mean the end of the deal for Maro as he’s bound to be directly in partnership with the American Investor for more projects ahead of them.
