Western Uganda’s leading song bird Lady Mariam Nasuuna alias Tindatine, a few days ago threw a house party at Edmond City in Kireka, which was attended by mainly friends and some of her fans. She was celebrating the Award she won at the HiPipo Music Awards held at Wonder World, Kansanga early this month.
This comes as a surprise to many, wondering how some people who scooped several awards didn’t even think of any party, but Lady Mariam who struggled to scoop an award for Best Western Region Song “Kigambe” at the 2014 Hipipo Awards could be so excited to the extent of throwing a lavish house party.
She explained the party saying that, being on a drought of songs, there are several musicians especially fellow female artistes who have been spreading negative propaganda against her and she kicked their asses by earning this award clearly indicating she is still a force to reckon with as far as western music is concerned!
She told the attendants of the house party that she has come in another rare style to outclass top female musicians as she lashed at her critics who had earlier claimed that she will never resurrect her music career.
Meanwhile, the party was lovely and fans were entertained by her band, dancing the night away.
