Mantra Motorbike EA, the official distributors of Hero MotoCorp Ltd in Uganda have donated 10 motorbikes towards COVID-19 response efforts in Uganda.

This donation was made to the Covid-19 National Task Force in support of ongoing measures to accelerate efforts in containing the spread of the virus. The bikes are intended to ease movement of Covid 19 Task Force health workers during this period.

Mohamad Khadr, Country General Manager Mantra Motorbike EA Ltd & MAC East Africa noted that as an organization they are committed to ensure safety of their staff and also extend a helping hand to the community they operate in.

“The Government and Ministry of Health in Uganda are doing an exceptional job of leading and managing this global crisis. We are joining in their efforts with this donation to allow fast-moving response efforts. I commend contributions from the private sector during this extraordinary situation and hope many more companies and individuals will join in this fight,” said Mohamad Khadr.

“We are in the business of distributing bikes for the largest motorbike manufacturer in the world. We’ve selected the Dawn 100CC and Hunter 125CC due to their efficiency in fuel consumption, durability, strength and power,” Khadr added.

To-date, over 2 million people across the globe have tested positive for COVID-19 with over 170,000 already succumbing to it. However, Uganda has so far registered 55 positive cases with no reported deaths.
