Things are not good if you are a Manchester United fan. Having had one of the dullest summers as far as transfers are concerned, Everton went ahead to reject a joint bid for players Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines, turning down an offer in the region of 28 million pounds.
Manchester United manager David Moyes has already seen two main transfer targets Thiago and Cesc Fabregas all turn down a move to Old Trafford. He is now desperate as well as the fans. Fans have grown frustrated to see that no marquee signing has been brought in to boost the defending champions’ title challenge. Title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea have been active in the transfer market and this has sent a clear signal to Moyes to strengthen his squad.
Everton has labelled Manchester United’s offer as “insulting” so we expect Moyes to turn up the heat and forward an improved bid of 35m.Moyes has been known to be a huge admirer of both players and with the season underway, he expects Fellini to bring his qualities to his midfield with Baines giving Patrice Evra some competition for the left back spot.
Whether Moyes bows to Everton, we wait to see.
