Weird things never end. Makerere University students have been carrying out a weird activity at Campus called the Naked Mile. The university came out and banned the practice calling it unfortunate and unacceptable.
The university banned the practice that has been taking place in the cultural week at Makerere University where students, both male and female would in the middle of night run around campus naked and end up in the Makerere University pool. Lumumba hall with Mary Stuart hall together and Mitchel with Complex halls have been the leading halls of residence in promoting this practice according to our source at Makerere. The university administration says that this is dangerous as some students could drown since they are always drunk while doing this.
“The practice copied from an American Movie called “The American pie” is popular among a section of the students and more are being recruited,” said a Lumumba hall student.
“This is very unfortunate and unacceptable in the premier institution like university. It’s also potentially dangerous to human life,” read part of the statement by the Dean of students about the practice.
University authorities have ordered Police to arrest any students who get involved in this activity again.
