Despite closure of Uganda’s biggest institution of higher learning, Makerere University, it is set to welcome Kampala University as the two sides clash in the semi-final return leg clash of the Nile Special University Football League (UFL).
The first leg between the two sides ended in a goalless draw and Makerere must beat their opponents if they are to progress to the finals of the annual University competition.
On the other hand, a draw of at least one goal will see Kampala University advance to the finals on an away goals’ rule. KU have never lost to the Makerere in the history of the competition.
The other semi-final will be played on Thursday 10th between Nkumba University and Uganda Martyrs University (UMU). UMU will host Nkumba who have a 1-0 lead advantage following their first leg victory last week.
