The university league first round fixtures of the quarter final stage that are ongoing have taken a new twist in favour of the CAF U-17 game that is due Saturday 28th September. Makerere University which were due to host Nkumba University at the Makerere main grounds in the last game of the quarter finals round one has been postponed up to Sunday 29th.

The development followed a call from the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) asking the University league organisers’ committee to shift the game due to the U-17 CAF fixture that will be on tomorrow as the Uganda Cubs take on the Zambian young Chipolopolo in the return leg of the 2015 CAF youth qualifiers.

“We were given a formal communication by the organising committee yesterday (Thursday) that the game has been postponed because of the Uganda Cubs game that was scheduled on the same date as ours (Saturday 28th)”, Daglus Bamweyana, Makerere team head coach told BigEye.ug.

The Cubs will be in action tomorrow against the Chipolopolo of Zambian who lead with a 2-0 goal advantage after the first leg. The game will be played at Namboole Stadium and entrance is Ugx5,000 – ordinary and Ugx20,000 – VIP.
