Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) President, Eng. Moses Magogo has set the bar high for coaches looking to manage clubs in the Uganda Premier League in the 2017/2018 season.
The local football governing boss said that only CAF A class licence holders will be allowed to take charge of topflight sides.
Magogo revealed the development on Saturday at the FUFA technical center in Njeru while speaking to the 27 coaches who successfully finished the second and last module of the CAF A course.
“Starting with the season 2017/2018 onward, coaches must be holders of CAF A license badge to coach any club in the Uganda Premier League,” Magogo said before urging them to play a key role in players’ development.
The coaches were being tutored by CAF’s senior instructor, Sunday Kayuni form Tanzania over the two week long period.
Some of the coaches that attended include; Alex Isabirye of Bul FC, Kefa Kisala of URA FC, Haruna Mawa of SC VU. Express FC’s technical director Mujabi Robert also attended the course among many others.
