Federation of Ugandan Football Association president, Engineer Moses Magogo along with the Executive Committee, Uganda Cranes players, staff, delegates and members of Federation have extended their sincere appreciation to the football community in their respective capacities. The appreciation message follows Uganda 2-0 victory over Guinea that left the Cranes sitting top of Group E in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers as of Wednesday 10th.
“We would like to extend our since appreciation to the football fraternity for turning up to support the Uganda Cranes against Guinea on Wednesday 10th September, 2014 at Namboole stadium”, reads part of the statement on the federation’s website.
“The support was tremendous. The fans played a key role in the Cranes 2-0 win over Guinea and we are looking forward to your support in the upcoming games when the Uganda U-17 plays Zambia and Cranes against Togo,” Eng Moses Magogo, the FUFA President remarked.
The federation however also apologised for the rough entry at some of the stadium gates. Information has it that there was some rough and chaotic entry at the Eastern and Southern gates of the stadium.
According to the federation’s website, FUFA will organize a two day practical session for demonstrations purposes involving various stakeholders like security, ushers, traffic police, fans and sponsors on management of a football event on match day. This will be conducted before the home game against Togo next month.
