“We would like to extend our since appreciation to the football fraternity for turning up to support the Uganda Cranes against Guinea on Wednesday 10th September, 2014 at Namboole stadium”, reads part of the statement on the federation’s website.

“The support was tremendous. The fans played a key role in the Cranes 2-0 win over Guinea and we are looking forward to your support in the upcoming games when the Uganda U-17 plays Zambia and Cranes against Togo,” Eng Moses Magogo, the FUFA President remarked.

The federation however also apologised for the rough entry at some of the stadium gates. Information has it that there was some rough and chaotic entry at the Eastern and Southern gates of the stadium.
