Renowned Ugandan music producer, Magic Washington, has been vocal about the challenges facing music producers in the country, emphasizing the need for fair treatment and support from the government.

Expressing his concerns, Washington clarified that their aim is not to engage in conflict but to advocate for the rights and loyalties of music producers.

In a recent statement, Washington highlighted the dissatisfaction among music producers regarding the lack of adequate support from the government for the Ugandan music industry.

He lamented that producers like himself often feel cheated out of their hard-earned rewards.

“We aren’t fighting anyone, we’re simply expressing our concerns. We are fighting for our loyalties as music producers. Please don’t be greedy,” emphasized Producer Magic Washington.

Washington’s sentiments echo the frustrations of many music producers who feel marginalized within the industry despite their significant contributions to the creation and promotion of Ugandan music.

He called for greater recognition and support for the vital role played by producers in shaping the country’s music landscape.
