Magazyne

MBIDDE SIMON PETER more popularly known by his stage name MAGAZYNE, though his name may sound new to many, has been in the music industry since 2008. His love and passion for music started way back when he was still in Lubiri Secondary School. Soon after Lubiri, he joined a music teaching institute to pursue his passion.

While still advancing in his music career education wise, he started performing in night clubs–miming a number of the great hits of then. Sooner than later he hit the studio and recorded his first Afro-Reggae single on which he teamed up with his friend well known as Metanik Rabongo. The duo didn’t stop there; they did a couple of other songs as well as shoot their videos. But the combination was not as successful as they had initially envisaged ultimately deciding to amicably part ways.

It was this time that Magazyne decide to re-brand himself as a solo artiste. After a series of sleepless nights an idea of a new music genre stroked his mind. Since then he never looked back. He has fused a number of music genres to come up with his AFRIGANDA Style which is totally unique and different in its way hence set forward to create a change in the Uganda music Industry.

After a long time of creating and developing his unique style, the 24 year old artiste has embarked on working on his first studio album titled the Revolution. With this new genre, Magazyne creates an immersive experience about Life, love, people, hope, commitment and optimism. Enhancing the experience: a rich, melodic soundscape–accented by compelling interludes–that fully integrates the musician’s unique influences, classical training and unerring Afriganda sensibilities.

So far he has recorded two tracks out of the 14 audio tracks of the Revolution album and a motivational single off the album which features Dr. Hilderman titled Burning Fire. The Revolution album is set to be released later this year, 2014 accompanied by a documentary and short film under the same title. The album is set to tell a story of transformation, and required transformation not only in Magazyne as an artiste but also to the entire human race towards creating a free and better world of the new generation.

Magazyne, is a very innovative Singer/Songwriter, Philanthropist, and Entrepreneur. He further puts his creative senses into designing and developing new designs for his clothing line known as Razo Perfect wear, which originates from RAZO an initial name he had before rebranding himself.

Magazyne is one other talented artiste to look out for in 2014!!
