High flying side Lweza Football Club will today host Uganda Revenue Authority FC at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium, Wankulukuku in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL). The tie comes just a day after the Kajjansi boys clinched a spot in the 2016 Uganda Cup quarter finals after defeating Kamuli Park 4-1 on Sunday at the same venue.
The Joseph Mutyaba-coached side beat the league defending champions Vipers SC by 2-1 in their last league fixture.
Meanwhile, the Tax collectors will reflect back to Friday’s 3-0 victory over Maroons as they look to tame down a stubborn side of Lweza. Once again Kefa Kisala will look to Robert Ssentongo to lead the attack while Nicholas Kagaba will also be eager to add another goal to his URA account.
A victory for URA would see them put a strong hold to their second place while maximum points for the hosts can elevate them from 10th to 8th place on the table.
In the other games of the day, table leaders KCCA FC will be at home in Nakivubo stadium to wait for Soana FC as they look forward to recover from that 1-0 blow by Jinja based side Bul FC in their last league tie.
The Kasasiro boys are still top of the league table with 35 points from 18 games while Soana FC stands 7th on the same log with 28 points from 19 games.
At Bugembe stadium in Jinja, league debutants JMC Hippos host 2011 league champions Express FC who will be targeting to climb to second place on the log if they can walk away with maximum points.
In Matugga at Mwerwere stadium, Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars will entertain Jinja based side, BUL F.C as they welcome back captain Bernard Muwanga, number one goalie Mathias Kigonya and Joseph Nsubuga from the West Nile trip with the national team.
The Kawempe based side is yet to lose a single game in the second round after winning two and drawing one in three games. BUL also had two players that were part of the Uganda Cranes team; Milton Karisa and Yunus Sibira.
