Lubowa Ignition Tournament Season 1: A thrilling success at Lubowa Karting

The inaugural Lubowa Ignition Tournament, hosted by Adele and organized by Talent Africa Group, took place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the vibrant Lubowa Karting venue.

The event delivered an exhilarating day of racing across four competitive categories, drawing in enthusiastic participants and spectators.

In the Junior Category, Joseph claimed first place with a standout performance. Faheem Garcha finished second, while Kavan Garcha took third.

The Female Category highlighted the exceptional skill of women in motorsport, with Doris racing to victory. Eyrain secured second place, and Anella completed the podium in third.

In the Pro Category, fierce competition saw Henk clinch first place, followed by Yosemite in second and Beberto in third—demonstrating the high level of talent present at the tournament.

A major highlight of the day was the Celebrity Race, which featured notable personalities including Sammy Wetala, Max Noir, Big Trail, and Aly Allibhai. Sammy Wetala emerged victorious, with Aly Allibhai—CEO of Talent Africa Group—taking second, and Big Trail finishing third.

Emil Kwame Ampofo, Director of Lubowa Karting, shared his excitement about the event:

“We were captivated by the drama on track at our inaugural Ignition tournament. The competitors and spectators truly made it a day to remember.”

Aly Allibhai also expressed his thoughts:

“This event not only showcased incredible talent but also strengthened our community’s spirit. We are proud to be part of such an exhilarating day and look forward to more events like this in the future.”

The success of the Lubowa Ignition Tournament was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and partners, including Talent Africa Group, City Tyres, and the Formula 1 Association – Uganda.
