Love was certainly in the air last evening as Ps. Jessica Kayanja launched her Girl Power 2016 conference. Jessica who was flunked by her hubby Ps. Robert Kayanja showed the congregation that love keeps growing as you spend more years in marriage. The two rocked the red carpet together shortly before Robert shared what he really feels for his wife.
“Falling in love, pursuing and marrying the likes of Jessica Ssempebwa, now Jessica Kayanja is a gift of life. As my best friend and wife, this woman is wisdom, power, love and intelligence, the best there is,” he noted.
“She started the Girl Power concept at the sick bed of our daughter in the United Kingdom. How could she have been thinking of other girls when her own was in a near death situation? I know her prayer and faith was for our beloved daughter but out of that travailing, a mission was birthed: Girl Power Ministries. Her pain resulted into the gain of others,” he added.
“Now 10 years later, testimonials abound of lives transformed, hope given and destinies discovered. This is the heart and life of this woman of God. Over and over I hear her talk of the “illiterate girl”. Is this her mandate for the next decade? During one of the earlier Girl Power conference days it rained very heavily! So she appointed me to be the chief driver, to use our car and ferry ladies from the taxis stage to the conference venue. I believe I passed that test. And the next conference I was promoted to time manager and now for the past few, I have been in charge of the kitchen. I am looking forward to the next decade of Girl Power.”
