I will keep saying this over and over, and definitely won’t tire from saying it, I love a man that knows how to dress. This is a guy that definitely has his A-game (in my world) on.
Anyway, away from that, it is party season; we have the prom parties, weddings, Niginas, name it. So for the gents, you could use this opportunity to step out looking like Idris Elba in a polished and sleek tux look.
Majority of the men, would cringe at the thought of a tux, not just because of its hefty price tag, but lack of the right poise and style sense to pull off this look.
No worries, with a few tips up your sleeve, nailing this look, is going to be a walk over for you.
Get the fitting right.
If you hope to wear the Ssebana-type of suits, then this look is not for you. A tux is supposed to be well fitting, not too tight, not ill fitting. Just right! How else are you going to step out looking like Dicaprio if the fly of your tux bottoms is in your knees?
Colour.
It’s a party, darling, not a funeral. So don’t be afraid to play around with some colour. You can choose to contrast the hue of your pants from your jacket. Throw on a white jacket on top of your black dress pasts. Alternatively, step out to be different. Instead of having on the traditional white shirt, go for an all-black look. Black jacket, pants, shirt, plus a black bow tie to match.
Accessorize.
I don’t mean you should carry your girlfriend’s Hermes bag, on your tux, No! Make use of the latest men’s accessory trend like slipper loafers, statement watches, and the like to make your tux, more outstanding. For the swag kind of guy, you could make use of those sleek high tops. But stick to the black ones. Not the maroon and orange!
