The local transfer window officially opened yesterday 1st July 2015 for all the clubs to begin signing new players. This was announced by the local football governing body (FUFA), yesterday during the weekly press conference at FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala. Passing on the announcement was the FUFA competitions director, Ali Mwebe who emphasized that the right procedures should be followed.

“The window opened officially on 1st July 2015 and teams are advised to follow the right procedure of the Player Transfer Matching System (TMS),” Mwebe said.

The transfer window will run for a maximum of 85 days (1st July 2015 – 26th September 2015).

This comes at moment when many clubs have already signed players who they are yet to officially unveil. SC Villa recently released 15 players and have reportedly signed about 10 players now while their arch rivals, KCCA released a total of 11 players and have signed about 6 players.

SC Villa New signings: Umar Kasumba, Jonathan Mugabi, Abel Eturude, Patrick Mbowa, Robert Achema, Tadeo Lwanga, Patrick Mbowa, Ashadu Bugembe, Milton Kalisa (allegedly).

KCCA New signings: Martin Mpuuga, Richard Kassaga, Muzamir Mutyaba, Denis Okot, Ayiko Richard, Dan Nsubuga, Isaac Sserunkuma and Tanzanian striker Kondoa Shaban.
