Express - Kcca

By Robert Kayindi James

At least five matches in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) had been postponed by Friday last week. The games were called off due to stadium unavailability and most players being away on national duty.

One of the postponed games is the KCCA tie against Bright Stars which was called off due to the unavailability of the KCCA interim home ground Nakivubo as works of laying turf continue at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo. The other reason being that several KCCA players; Denis Okot, Joseph Ochaya, Muzamir Mutyaba and Ivan Ntege are away with the national team.

The fixture between Vipers and Police FC was also called off because most of its key players are away on national duty. These include; James Alitho, Shafiq Bakaki, Farouk Miya, John Semazzi, Erisa Sekisambu and Keziron Kizito.

The Saints F.C fixture against Lweza F.C that was due Tuesday (27th October)  and SC Victoria University’s home tie with army side Simba due Saturday(October 31) and The Saints against Victoria University slated for November 3rd have all been called off due to the unavailability of Namboole Stadium over routine maintenance.

Postponed Matches:

Vipers S.C vs. Police F.C
KCCA F.C vs. Bright Stars
The Saints F.C vs. Lweza F.C
SCVU vs. Simba F.C
The Saints F.C vs. SC Victoria University
