Joseph Masembe, under his company Little Hands Go Green, embarked on a Greening campaign on Monday. Masembe teamed up with Harris International under their flagship brand Riham and took the gospel of environment conservation to different primary schools in the central region.
They were joined by the green ambassadors from different schools in Kampala who were flagged off at the Riham Head office in Kawempe. The campaign saw the pupils plant over 1000 trees and create Green Zones in the different schools they visited. They also donated litter bins to the schools.
The Greening team visited several schools that included St Marcelino Academy in Matugga, St Catherine Primary School in Kawanda, Naluvule Primary School in Luweero, Kassala Primary School and Ndejje Junior School in Bombo among others.
This Greening campaign is aimed at planting as many trees in Uganda as possible using the young generation as ambassadors.
