Lil Pazo Lunabe has shared a humorous yet eye-opening experience about receiving a mere Shs4,000 from a musama—a Ugandan living abroad who only returns home for holidays.
Speaking on Kasuku Live, Lil Pazo narrated how the incident left him both amused and puzzled. He recalled, “I think he just wanted to get off some weird things off himself and give them to me.”
His comment hinted at how the gesture felt more like a ritual than genuine generosity.
Lunabe didn’t hold back his thoughts on the current crop of basama, alleging that they are often “broker than the people on the ground.”
He suggested that the golden days of basama being perceived as wealthy and generous are long gone, as many now return home with little to show for their time abroad.
