Singer Lil Pazo Lunabe has come out to clarify reports linking him to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) political party.

According to the singer, the NRM has never at any point requested for his political support.
Speaking to the media, Lil Pazo explained that while he has performed at several NRM rallies, these were purely paid gigs.
“I have been hired to perform at their political rallies, just like any other entertainer would,” he said.

In recent months, several reports had alleged that Lil Pazo had pledged support to the NRM ahead of the upcoming general elections.
However, he has now set the record straight, saying there is no political alignment behind his appearances at NRM events.
It should be remembered that over four years ago, Lil Pazo openly supported the National Unity Platform (NUP), an opposition party led by fellow musician and politician Bobi Wine.
His past allegiance to NUP had made the recent NRM speculations even more controversial among fans and political observers.
Lil Pazo emphasized that his work as a performer should not be confused with political loyalty.
