Leila Kayondo’s Congolese lover, John Kabango, has warned SK Mbuga to keep his hands off Leila or risk being arrested again.
The Congolese national who was dinning with Leila on the fateful day when the ‘Tompona’ singer was thumped by tycoon SK Mbuga has said that he will show SK Mbuga what he is made of if he hears any fracas between him and Leila again.
Kabanga who is here on a fact finding mission in a recent Congolese gold theft saga got to know Kayondo as a way of getting to SK Mbuga at first before they become more than close.
Our source reveals that John is investigating among other people, SK Mbuga who is believed to have involved himself in dirty gold deals in Congo.
On the day Leila was beaten, SK Mbuga had given her 10 million shillings for her birthday. Instead of keeping the money for its rightful purpose, she was found having a mega meal with John in Munyonyo and splashing part of the money that was given to her. “I found her in a place I didn’t expect her to be in, at a time I didn’t expect her to be there, with a person I didn’t expect her to be with. That is why I did what I did,” Mbuga told us after the punching spree. He was taken to jail and later court where he was released on a 5 million shillings non cash bail.
