Struggling singer Leila Kayondo has opened up on why she gave up on taking alcohol.

The “Nyumirwa” singer reveals how she quit boozing two years ago and it was because of the immense criticism from her family and friends.
“I quit boozing two years ago. I was tired of being people bad-mouthing me. Both family and friends always attacked me because of alcohol,” Leila Kayondo said while appearing on NBS TV’s ‘Uncut’ show.
Leila also vowed never to resume the habit at any cost.
“With the experience I have, I will never take alcohol again,” Leila Kayondo added.
Over the years, Leila Kayondo has often been reported to be among the strongest drunkard female groups around Kampala City.
On several occasions, close family members and friends have revealed her addiction and abuse to a number of drugs.
