Former Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka has triumphed in the World Next Top Model pageant. The 2014/15 Miss Uganda, who stirred a lot of controversy online following her crowning, has beaten 43 other beauty queens to be crowned Miss People’s Choice 2016. This comes after she garnered over 8,000 votes in an online poll, with her closest rival managing a mere 4456 votes.
The elated beauty queen took to social media to show her appreciation, posting: “Thanx for all the support we got miss people’s choice. And managed to get to top 16. Something about each contestant having only one title. But super grateful to you all. Next time we get a bigger crown. bless you”
Meanwhile, Virginia from Malta was crowned the new Miss World Next Top Model 2016 as Leah only managed to make it into the top 16.
