Struggling Ugandan singer Latinum Lati has publicly pleaded with Eddy Kenzo, the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), for financial assistance or a leadership position in the dancehall genre.

In a video shared on his social media, Latinum expressed admiration for Kenzo’s music and talent, stating, “Uncle Eddy, I love you so much. I like your music. There’s a way you make singing seem so easy.”
However, he quickly shifted to making a request, asking Kenzo to give him some money from the federation or appoint him as the head of dancehall music.
“Please give me some money from the Federation. Or else give me the position to be the head of the dancehall genre because I know no artiste beats me there, you also know that,” Latinum added.

Latinum, who was once a rising star in Uganda’s music industry, has struggled to maintain his presence in the competitive music scene.
His appeal to Kenzo highlights the financial challenges some artists face, even as the UNMF aims to support musicians in the country.
Eddy Kenzo has not yet responded to Latinum’s request.
