Latif Madoi, owner of Latif designs, Uganda’s fashion guru has an extremely amazing skill in the sewing and bringing out fashion in clothes. A few days back, he was in Netherlands for the annual Reach Out to Nation Resmas where he thrilled and impressed fashion lovers.
With his genius skill of sewing clothes in just minutes, when the designer was a broad he took the opportunity to express his fine talent. His designs and clothing were loved and appreciated by many during the fashion exhibition.
The Resmas global fest is an event held annually aiming at honouring both social and political icons. After the demise of south African legendary reggae star Lucky Dube in 2007, the idea developed and this event is held on the 18th of October each year. It is a celebration and jubilation in combination with civilisation and modernisation. It is a revolution for the young generation to acquire education for positive inspirations.
Latifa in his own words said: “If I was a musician, I don’t know if I would only listen to my own music because I only wear my own made clothing and that includes the under and outer garments together with the accessories.”
