Allan Kyambadde

By James Robert Kayindi

Allan Kyambadde, last season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), has been nominated for the CBS football players’ award for this year together with other two Uganda premier league skippers. Having switched sides during the transfer window, Kyambadde left Express F.C to join Vipers who now lead Uganda Premier League (UPL) table.

The other two players are; Ronnie Kisseka of Kamapla Capital City (KCC) and Savio Kabugo, a defender from Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) who scored the winner for Uganda against Ghana at Namboole. These players have shown great character in expressing their talent on the pitch and have also equally done well in the field of discipline which is one of the key factors in this nomination.

The winner will be crowned by his highness the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Mwenda Mutebi at the CBS end of the year party, commonly known as Enkuka on 31st December 2014 at Lubiri, Mengo.

To vote for your favorite player, type ‘Omupiira’, leave a space and then name of the preferred player and send to 8892.

One of Uganda’s new telecommunications K2 telecom, CBS radio, Samona, and the government of Buganda Kingdom are the key sponsors of the award.
