Lapaire opens new optical shop in Kabalagala

By Our Reporter

Lapaire, a pan-African eyewear brand has opened a new optical shop Kabalagala in a bid to extend eye care services nearer to the community. The new optical shop which officially opened on Wednesday is located along Ggaba Road, Opposite Embassy Plaza.

The optical shop will be composed of a team of professionals including an optometrist and sales representatives.

As part of the launch activation, the Lapaire team shall be offering free vision tests to identify and assess potential eye problems, eye care tips to maintain good eye health and quality eyeglasses starting from Ugx 105.000, inclusive of frame + lenses.

Esther Nafula, Operation Manager Uganda at Lapaire, commented that, “In Uganda, the Ministry of Health estimates that over 1.2 million people are visually impaired with short-sightedness while 250,000 others are totally blind. Eyecare in Uganda has been observed to be quite expensive and inaccessible. For this reason, some people miss out on a service that could very much change their lives. In our efforts to raise awareness on the importance of eyecare and bring quality yet affordable eye care services closer to the people, we are opening our new Optical Shop in Kabalagala in order to Bring Eyecare more closer to our Community.”

Lapaire also has a presence in other towns around the country including Mbarara, Jinja & Mukono.
