In a bid to make it easy and affordable for patients to get eye care services, Lapaire, a pan-African eyewear brand, is giving more power to customers to choose how they want to pay for the services.

The company has announced a new payment plan that will allow customers to pay in installments for their glasses.

Oliver Mwanko Wambile, the Public Relations & Communication officer at Lapaire Glasses, says this is their way of supporting their customers as the economy reels back from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As we try to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lapaire Glasses is giving it’s customers an opportunity to pay for their glasses in three installments with an option of either cash, mobile money or a cheque,” said Oliver Mwanko Wambile.

Mr Mwanko says that the company offers tailor-made glasses ranging from Ugx 105,000/= (inclusive of the frame and anti-glare lenses) while their sunglasses start from as low as Ugx 40,000/=.

“With respect to style, the Lapaire tailor-made affordable glasses not only give one good vision but are also stylish and help one to connect with their surroundings, increase one’s productivity, gain confidence and also help maintain the sharpness of one’s minds.” He added.

Meanwhile, Lapaire Glasses is also offering free on-site eye screening and testing at select pharmacies in Kampala and its outskirts. This comes as part of their “Your Eyes Well-Being is our Priority” campaign which is being conducted in partnership with Cedars, Guardian, and Perfect Care pharmacies.

Founded in 2018, Lapaire glasses has 14 branches in 7 Countries across the continent. In Uganda, the company has 3 branches in 3 cities; Kampala, Jinja, and Mbarara with a vision of expanding to Northern Uganda before the end of 2021.
